PerkinElmer Inc., a Waltham based supplier to life sciences companies and scientific researchers, announced the appointment of Martina Bielefeld-Sevigny as vice president and general manager of drug discovery and research reagents at its life and analytical sciences unit. In that role, she will be responsible for driving expansion of the reagents portfolio for the company's Bio-discovery business. Bielefeld-Sevigny joined PerkinElmer in 2004. Satcon Technology Corp., a Boston-based provider of utility scale distributed power solutions for the renewable energy market, said that Darryl Parker joins the company as vice president of sales. Parker comes to Satcon with more than 23 years of experience developing and managing high growth across commercial and governmental customers globally, including leadership roles with Harris Corporation, IBM, Sun Microsystems, and NCR. Charles Han joins Satcon as vice president of operations. Before joining Satcon, Han served as the general manager of Toronto Operations for Tyco International. At Satcon, Han will oversee the company's operations and manufacturing facilities for its photovoltaic and fuel cell power conditioning product lines. Read the company's press release here.

KIKA Medical, a Boston firm that helps medical-device and biopharmaceutical companies bring their products to market, said that Jennifer Toso and Jack O'Leary have joined Kika as directors of business development for the Midwest and West Coast regions, respectively. Before KIKA, Toso she was a sales director at Model N's Life Science Division, responsible for software enterprise sales into large pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech companies. O'Leary has been involved in the clinical research industry as a project engineer and sales support specialist covering such areas as information technology and drug safety.
