Harvard Business Publishing, a not-for-profit subsidiary of Harvard University and an affiliate of Harvard Business School, announced that Robin Camara will join the organization as vice president of human resources and administration, effective Nov. 24. Camara succeeds Toni Smit, who is retiring 18 years with Harvard Business Publishing. Camara has more than 30 years experience as a human resources and administrative services executive, and she has served as an advisor and strategic partner to executives in such companies as First Marblehead Corp., Sun Life Financial, First Data Corporation, and American Express Information Services.

CVS Caremark Corp., a Woonsocket, R.I., provider of prescriptions and the operator of the CVS/pharmacy chain, announced that it has appointed Troyen A. Brennan, MD, as executive vice president, chief medical officer. In this newly created role, Brennan will assume responsibility for the company's MinuteClinic, Accordant Health Care, clinical and medical affairs, and health care strategy. Most recently, Brennan served as chief medical officer for Aetna Inc.

MedAptus, a Boston company focused on charge capture technologies, said that William Marshall was recently named senior vice president of marketing. Marshall has over 20 years of experience in both healthcare and technology, including product development and marketing roles at companies such as IDX Systems Corp., Per-Se Technologies, and Avega. Concurrent with Marshall's promotion, Rick Little was named executive director of client services. Little was one of MedAptus' first employees, having joined as an implementation specialist in 2000, shortly after the company was founded.

Interactive Data Corp., a Bedford-based provider of financial market data, analytics, and related services, announced that its pricing and reference data business has named Marc Alvarez as senior director of Reference Data Infrastructure. Alvarez is based in the company’s New York City office. Alvarez joins Interactive Data from Asset Control, where he most recently served as vice president of products.
