Second Rotation raises $6m in Series B round
Second Rotation Inc. of Boston said today that it has secured $6 million in new venture funding.
The company operates Gazelle.com, a website where consumers can sell their unwanted electronics devices such as cellphones, MP3 players, and laptops. A recent Globe story described how Gazelle.com works. Please click here to read that story.
The Series B funding round was led by RockPort Capital Partners, a venture firm with offices in Boston, Second Rotation said.
“Despite the current economic climate, we believe in supporting companies that are poised to bring to market practical solutions to the world’s most pressing problems,” Alexander “Hap” Ellis III, general partner at RockPort Capital Partners, said in a statement.
