The Massachusetts Port Authority is encouraging Logan International Airport travelers to allow themselves 30 extra minutes in budgeting their airport arrival times for trips during the busy Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Travelers on domestic flights should arrive two hours before their flight's departure time; on a typical day, Massport generally recommends that travelers arrive 90 minutes before the departure of a domestic flight.

For international flights, Thanksgiving travelers should arrive two-and-a-half hours before departure, or 30 minutes earlier than the recommended arrival time for a normal day.

Massport, which operates Logan, said in a press release, "Travelers should monitor www.flylogan.com for updated airline information and to familiarize themselves with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) carry-on luggage regulations to help lessen delays at security checkpoints."

For people unfamiliar with Logan, Massport recommends a visit to Airport Wayfinder section of the Massport website. Airport Wayfinder uses the "latest Internet streaming video technologies to welcome and orient passengers to Boston Logan in five language: English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish."
