Wise will head Lippincott

Rick Wise of Wayland will take over as chief executive of Lippincott, a brand strategy and design consulting firm, effective Jan. 1.

Wise, a 44-year-old senior partner and the head of Lippincott's brand strategy practice, will succeed Ken Roberts, 63, who will become chairman emeritus, Lippincott said.

Lippincott is a unit of the Oliver Wyman Group, an international management consulting firm. Oliver Wyman employs roughly 250 people in its Boston office, Lippincott said.

When he becomes chief executive, Wise plans to divide his time between the firm's Boston office and its other locations, Lippincott said.
