The DD Independent Franchise Owners Group, a Bellingham-based association that represents Dunkin' Donuts franchise owners in the United States, said it has named Jim Coen as acting president and chief operating officer.

Coen, a member of the organization's board of directors, took over today from Mark Dubinsky, who has tendered his resignation after two yeas as the group's president, the organization said.

The DD Independent Franchise Owners Group added that it is "currently engaged in a nationwide search for a permanent successor to Dubinsky."
