Flybridge launches "Stay in Ma" program
Flybridge Capital Partners, a Boston venture capital firm, said it has launched Stay in MA, a new scholarship program for Massachusetts-based college students.
Not only does the program aim to promote entrepreneurial spirit but it also seeks to encourage local college students to join the Bay State work force after graduation.
In a press release, Flybridge said the program is "focused on fostering entrepreneurship and innovation between students and the local business community by providing financial assistance to students interested in joining or attending the events of technology and business organizations in the region."
"Stay in MA scholarships are available for any undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in a college or university based in Massachusetts," the press release added. "Scholarships will be awarded up to $100 per event or organization membership fee. Students may apply for up to three scholarships per calendar year. Scholarship applications are available at www.stayinma.com/apply."
The press release included a statement from Jeff Bussgang, general partner of Flybridge Capital Partners.
"Our goal with Stay in MA is to promote entrepreneurship with Massachusetts college students and enable them to network with leaders in the local business community so that when they graduate and look to join the work force or even start their own company, they think of Massachusetts as a place to start first," Bussgang said.
