Inverness Medical plans move to NYSE

Inverness Medical Innovations Inc., a Waltham medical device company that also offers health management solutions, said that it intends to move the trading of its listed securities to the New York Stock Exchange.

The company, which has made a number of recent acquisitions, said it expects its listings on the New York Stock Exchange to begin Jan. 6.

Until that time, Inverness Medical said its shares will continue to trade on Alternext, formerly the American Stock Exchange.

Inverness Medical said that its common stock will continue to trade under the symbol "IMA." To read the company's press release, please click here.
