Cubist Pharmaceuticals announces revenues

Cubist Pharmaceuticals Inc. issued preliminary results today and reported US net product revenues of $120.1 million for the fourth quarter for its antibiotic product CUBICIN, up 43 percent on a year-to-year basis.

The Lexington company, which is focused on the research, development, and commercialization of pharmaceutical products that address unmet medical needs in the acute care environment, said it will issue its full earnings release on Jan. 22.

Meanwhile, it said that unaudited 2008 US CUBICIN net product revenues were $414.7 million, an increase of 45 percent from 2007.
