Eastern Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Boston-based Eastern Bank, said it has acquired the Rosemary Walker Insurance Agency of Danvers.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition will enable Eastern Insurance to provide its customers "with access to a broader range of insurance products and services," Eastern said.
Over the last several years, Eastern has acquired roughly a dozen small and mid-sized insurance agencies, a company official said.
The company said in a press release, "In all, Natick-based Eastern Insurance has 27 locations in Eastern and Central Massachusetts and parts of Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, making it New Englandís largest independent insurance agency."
