River Bank opens Derry, N.H., branch

River Bank announced the grand opening today of its Derry, N.H., branch, the seventh branch for the North Andover-based bank.

In conjunction with the Derry opening, River Bank said it will offer three weeks of special rates and programs.

Beginning on Feb. 2, River Bank will offer a special rate of 5 percent annual-percentage yield, or APY, on its xStream Savings account, guaranteed for all of 2009 on the first $2,000 deposited into this account. This offer will be available to the first 100 customers that open an xStream Savings account in Derry, and the special rate is double the current rate of 2.5 percent APY, the banks said.

River Bank, a subsidiary of LSB Corp., noted that it has been providing the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire with banking services for more than 141 years.
