Gregory Perry has been appointed as senior vice president and chief financial officer at ImmunoGen Inc., a Waltham biopharmaceutical company that develops targeted anticancer therapeutics. Edward Scolnick and Finny Kuruvilla have been hired by Clarus Ventures LLC, a life sciences venture capital firm. Scolnick is a former Merck president, and Kuruvilla joins Clarus Ventures from the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Scolnick is venture partner, and Kuruvilla is a principal in the firm’s Cambridge office.
Jean C. Purrier has been appointed as the assistant vice president of the new government finance department at Bristol County Savings Bank. The department is dedicated to helping Southeastern Massachusetts cities and towns meet their financial goals. Purrier will be based out of the bank's Taunton headquarters. She was previously a relationship manager at Webster Bank.
Chris Brathas will lead the Boston office's education practice and serve other not-for-profit clients for McGladrey & Pullen LLP, a partner-owned certified public accounting firm that focuses on audit and assurance services. His title is audit partner.
Jan A. Miller has been elected to a two-year term as the chair of the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston. The mission of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston is to support the residential-mortgage and community-development lending activities of its members, which include more than 450 financial institutions across New England. Miller serves as president, chief executive, and director of Wainwright Bank & Trust Co., which is located in Boston.
