Inverness Medical names James Roosevelt to board

Medical diagnostic products company Inverness Medical Innovations Inc. of Waltham said today that it named James Roosevelt Jr. to its board of directors.

Roosevelt is the president and chief executive of Tufts Health Plan.

President Barack Obama recently selected Roosevelt as part of his transition team to co-chair a review of the Social Security Administration. Roosevelt also serves as chairman of the board of directors for Massachusetts Association of Health Plans. (AP)
