Papa Gino's, D'Angelo's unveil "anytime menus"
The anytime-menus, the first in either chain's history, seek to augment Papa Gino's and D'Angelo's lunch and dinner entrees, the Dedham-based chain said in a press release.
For the Papa Gino's chain, the anytime menu concept means the PapaRoll, a collection of three "signature fillings" rolled into crusty pizza dough, retailing for $2.99 each, the company said; as for D’Angelo's, it's debuting the Grilled Quesadilla, with three initial items with fillings sandwiched between grilled flour tortillas and retailing for $2.99 each.
"Both Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo want to capture a share of the 'snack/anytime' market by creating signature menu items that offer premium-quality ingredients," the company said in a press release. "The PapaRoll and Grilled Quesadilla are satisfying and affordable and can be eaten as an appetizer, for an afternoon snack, or as an accompaniment to lunch or dinner. Both D’Angelo and Papa Gino’s feature a vegetarian option ..."
The press release also said the launch of the anytime menus will be supported by radio, print, and online advertising as well as a coupon program.
