$50 billion federal contract shared by 59 companies
Several local companies could benefit from a massive federal contract awarded last month for information technology services.
The General Services Administration awarded the pact, worth up to $50 billion over 10 years, to 59 companies, including Waltham-based Raytheon Co. and Andover-based Dynamics Research Corp.
Several other recipients, including Keane Federal Systems and International Business Machines Corp. have substantial operations in the Bay state.
The contract, called "Alliant" and announced March 27, is designed to give federal agencies streamlined access to a broad range of management and technical support services.
An Associated Press article published by the Boston Globe and other newspapers mistakenly implied the entire contract was awarded to Dynamics Research Corp. (By Todd Wallack, Globe staff)
