Haemonetics buys Neoteric Technology

Haemonetics Corp., a Braintree company that specializes in products and services that help manage the blood supply, has made another acquisition, this time of a Canadian company whose products track, allocate, release, and dispense hospital blood units.

Haemonetics did not disclose the terms of the transaction to acquire Neoteric Technology Ltd. of Vancouver.

Only a few weeks ago, Haemonetics broadened its portfolio of blood management solutions by acquiring Altivation Software of California.

In a statement today, Haemonetics president and chief executive

Brian Concannon said: "With the acquisition of Neoteric Technology for hospital blood management and the March acquisition of Altivation Software for blood banks, Haemonetics continues to strengthen its value proposition to customers. Both acquisitions are strategic and strengthen our vision of being the global leader in blood management solutions for our customers."
