Gasoline prices in Massachusetts rose 3 cents to an average price of $1.999 per gallon in the latest weekly survey from AAA Southern New England.

The weekly surveys focus on the average price for a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded gas in Massachusetts.

The current Massachusetts price is 6 cents below the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.05, and the Massachusetts price is $1.39 less than the $3.38 found this time a year ago, AAA Southern New England said.
