redmango414.jpg Red Mango, a California-based chain of nonfat frozen yogurt stores, said it has signed development deals with existing and new franchisees will result in the opening of new Red Mango stores, including one in Boston.

As a result of these deals, the chain said it will be able to gain entry into Texas, Massachusetts, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, and Tennessee.

Red Mango added that Sean Kim and Kalin Bae, of SEKA LLC, will open the first Boston store for Red Mango later this summer. Kim and Bae first heard of Red Mango through a friend in South Korea, the chain said; both are certified jewelers, and Kim has managed eight jewelry stores in the Boston area for his family.

Founded in 2002 in South Korea, Red Mango opened its first US store in July 2007 in Los Angeles and has since opened more than 40 stores in the United States, the company's press release noted.
