Suffolk Construction Co. said it has been selected to manage a $41-million construction projection at the US Military Academy at West Point.

The project involves relocating the academy's motor facilities, Suffolk Construction said, and the project will also include the construction of supporting facilities, site improvements and antiterrorism/force protection.

In a press release, Suffolk Construction described the project as a "significant win" because it expands Suffolk Construction's "government project portfolio and opens more opportunities to provide construction management services for clients in the federal government sector."

Construction on the West Point motor pool project is scheduled to begin in July and will be completed in June 2010, the press release added.
