Philip J. Vickers (left) has been appointed to the position of chief scientific officer at Resolvyx Pharmaceuticals Inc., a privately-held biopharmaceutical company based in Bedford. Vickers will play a critical role in leading Resolvyx's research and development activities and will also join the Resolvyx board of directors. Before joining Resolvyx, Vickers was senior vice president and head of US research for Boehringer-Ingelheim.
Kimberly J. Healy (below right) has been named as marketing manager at First American Insurance Underwriters Inc., the Needham-based life insurance brokerage firm. She will oversee strategic marketing and promote corporate leadership and awareness within the industry. Healy brings to First American extensive experience in marketing, which includes eight years with IDC in Framingham, where she most recently held the title of senior marketing specialist.
Paula A. Price has been appointed as chief financial officer and Paula Labian as executive vice president of human resources at the Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., the Quincy-based chain. "These two appointments complete the leadership team," Stop & Shop said in a press release. Most recently, Price served as senior vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer for CVS/Caremark Corp. Price replaces current chief financial officer Jim Rojas, who had previously announced his plans to leave the company. For the past six years, Labian served as chief human resources officer and global vice president of human resources for Whole Foods Market Inc. based in Austin, Texas. Labian replaces John Bussenger, executive vice president of human resources from the company's Giant-Carlisle division, who assumed the responsibilities on an interim basis.
Ed Dunbar is the new president and chief operating officer at SeaChange International Inc., an Acton-based provider of software and hardware solutions for video-on-demand television. Before his appointment, Dunbar was an area vice president of Comcast Cable Communications serving as general manager of cable systems in Comcast’s Atlanta region. Bill Styslinger, founder of SeaChange, continues as chief executive and chairman of the board.
