A Massachusetts-based company is preparing to open the first full-scale commercial biodiesel terminal in the state.
Baystate Biofuels LLC says construction of the terminal in North Andover will begin by the end of May and it expects to begin selling environmentally friendly biodiesel by summer's end.
The company plans to distribute biodiesel to oil companies seeking to comply with Massachusetts' Clean Energy Biofuels Act of 2008.
Officials say the project likely will create green jobs in a region that recently lost significant numbers of jobs. (AP)
