Gasoline prices in Massachusetts rose for the sixth straight week - up 8 cents from last week to average $2.269 per gallon in the latest survey from AAA Southern New England.

The survey focuses on self-serve, regular unleaded gas.

In Massachusetts, the price has risen 27 cents over the last month, and is currently 5 cents below the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.31, AAA Southern New England said.

Today’s price is $1.49 less than the $3.75 found this time a year ago in Massachusetts, AAA Southern New England said.
