MassHousing commits to two projects
MassHousing, the state's affordable housing bank, said it has made loan commitments to redevelopment projects in Framingham and in Boston's Roslindale neighborhood.
MassHousing said it has made a commitment to a $28.6 million construction loan for the
redevelopment of the Musterfield at Concord Place in Framingham; the 110 public housing units owned by the Framingham Housing Authority will be renovated for low-income residents.
Separately, MassHousing said it has made a loan commitment of $14 Million for Phase 1B in the redevelopment of the Washington-Beech Public Housing in Roslindale.
"Phase 1B of the project will result in 72 new affordable rental apartments," MassHousing said.
Part of MassHousing's mission is to lend money at below-market rates to support affordable housing opportunities.
