Mendon OK's Verizon FiOS TV franchise

The Mendon Board of Selectmen has granted a cable franchise to Verizon Communications Inc. for its FiOS TV service, Verizon said.
According to Verizon, its TV service is superior to those offered by rivals.
The authorization by the Mendon board "brings to 94 the total number of Massachusetts communities where Verizon’s FiOS TV is or will soon be available," Verizon said in a press release.
