Suffolk Construction Co. Inc. said it has held an informal topping off ceremony for the New England Regional Council of Carpenters' new headquarters in Dorchester.
In a press release, the Boston company said: "Suffolk has partnered with ADD Inc to convert a highly visible, abandoned two-story industrial building adjacent to Interstate 93 to a three-story office building and training facility. The completed 75,000 square-foot building will include union offices, a bank, an eye care center for union members, and an apprentice training/trade school that will train 2,000 students per year."
The project should be completed in January, Suffolk added.
