Verizon extends reach of Internet service

Verizon Communications Inc. said that it is high-speed Internet service is now available to 23,000 additional Massachusetts households.

Those households are in Carver, Easthampton, Orange, Scituate, and parts of the South End neighborhood of Boston, said Verizon, which added that the service is now available to 618,000 households and businesses in 103 Massachusetts communities.
