Financial Research names a new CEO
Financial Research Corp., an asset management research and consulting firm, has named Bruce Fador to be its chief executive, starting July 6.
Fador, 53, is currently chief operations officer for Decision Resources Financial, a unit of Division Resources Inc. in Waltham that provides financial research. He served as chief executive of Thomson First Call, one of the largest distributors of financial data to Wall Street, from 1992 to 1998. He has also held senior positions at other financial research companies, including The Street.com/Weiss Ratings and WorldStreet.
Fador, a Boston College graduate, serves on the boards of Virtua, a financial modeling company, and InsiderScore, which tracks insider transactions.
FRC is one of the best-known providers of research and data on investment funds. It is a unit of Mercatus LLC, a boutique consulting and investing firm, which bought the firm from Citigroup in November. Since then, two Mercatus partners, Teresa Epperson and Bob Hedges, have temporarily served as co-CEOs. (By Todd Wallack, Globe staff)
