North to Alaska, via a different Logan terminal

Alaska Airlines passengers will have a new destination at Logan International Airport starting Saturday: Terminal A. The airline, which has been operating out of Terminal B under a sublease with US Airways, now has a sublease with Delta Air Lines in Terminal A. The move will take place overnight on Friday.

Alaska Airlines makes two daily nonstop flights to Seattle from Boston and one daily nonstop flight to Portland, Ore.

Terminal A is the world's first airline terminal to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification. The lights dim during daylight, bathrooms use less water, and windows keep heat in during cold weather and out when it's hot.
