For the java buff in the throes of a Starbucks emergency, Skyhook Wireless says it has a smart-phone app for you.

Skyhook Wireless, a Boston company that has developed a hybrid positioning system that uses Wi-Fi, GPS, and cell towers, announced a partnership with Android LBS app Find Starbucks.

skyhook811.jpg"'Find Starbucks' is a simple location search app that finds Starbucks coffee shops nearest to the user," Skyhook Wireless said in a press release.

So if someone is craving caffeine, the app is designed to put that coffee lover on the trail to nearby Starbucks cafes with the infallible homing instincts of a French pig in a truffle frenzy, Skyhook Wireless suggests.

"Find Starbucks" can be downloaded for free in the Android Marketplace, Skyhook Wireless said.
