A majority of chief financial officers for local companies expect no change in hiring during the fourth quarter, according to a survey from Robert Half International, a firm specializing in staffing and consulting services.
The firm said its Financial Hiring Index found that 2 percent of chief financial officers in the Boston area expect to add accounting and finance staff during the fourth quarter and 7 percent anticipate reductions in personnel.
Robert Half International said in a press release: "The local results reflect a two-quarter rolling average based on interviews with 200 CFOs from a stratified random sample of companies in the Boston area with 20 or more employees; 1,400 CFOs were queried for the national data."
