Stop & Shop offers flu shot discount for card holders
The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. said it will provide flu shots at a $10 discount to consumers who are Stop & Shop loyalty card holders.
The Quincy-based chain said that it has been providing flu shots for more than two decades, and this year's price for a flu shot without the card holder discount is $30.
Stop & Shop said it plans to offer flu shots through Nov. 26, though the program could end sooner if supplies for flu shots run out.
"Seasonal flu shots will be administered at a reduced price in most Stop & Shop stores starting Friday, Sept. 11, expanding to all stores in October," Stop & Shop said in a press release. "Immunizations will be provided by certified and trained Stop & Shop pharmacists and through Stop & Shop’s partnership with Maxim Health Systems and their trained health care professionals. The cost of the seasonal immunization is $30, but customers with a Stop & Shop loyalty card can save an additional $10. Thus, the final cost to Stop & Shop customers, with the card, is $20."
