Berkshire Partners invests in United BioSource

United BioSource Corp. said that Berkshire Partners LLC, a Boston-based private equity firm, has invested $125 million in the company.

Headquartered in Maryland, United BioSource provides support services to life sciences companies as they look to develop and commercialize medical products.

A press release issued by the company included a statement from Randy Peeler, managing director of Berkshire Partners.

“UBC’s management team has an impressive record of successfully integrating acquisitions, creating value across business lines, and servicing the world’s most progressive life sciences companies," Peeler said. (Globe Staff)
