Shields Health Care Group, a Quincy company whose network includes 21 diagnostic imaging centers, said it has become the official MRI provider to the Boston Bruins hockey team.
The company said it already has relationships with New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics.
For good or ill, the early season Bruins are shaping up to be a full-employment act for an MRI company like Shields. Already two top players, Milan Lucic (broken right index finger) and Marc Savard (broken left foot), have been sidelined with injuries that could keep an MRI operator plenty busy.
