Blog of interest to marketers debuts in the Hub
The Next Generation, a blog written by 18- to 25-year-olds on topics of interest to marketers, has just launched, said one of the guiding lights behind the blog.
That would be Edward Boches, chief creative officer at the Boston ad agency Mullen, which stressed that Next Generation is an extracurricular activity for Boches.
In any case, Next Generation is described as an "online magazine" that "is crowdsourcing content from a growing staff off writers (80 so far) willing to share its thoughts regarding life, work, brands, technology, environment, money, faith, sex, and love. The Next Great Generation will be an opportunity for Millennial writers to develop a voice and gather a following, along with a real chance for older generations to listen, learn, even ask questions."
One topic up for current blog discussion: "15 Ways Millennials Think About Brands."
In a statement, Boches said: "It struck us that most of the research, white papers and ongoing coverage we see about this generation is never created by them, but rather by my contemporaries reporting their findings. I thought it would be fun to create a platform that let Gen-Y do the talking for a change." (Globe Staff)
