Watermill Group buys green-friendly print facility
The Watermill Group, a Lexington investment firm, said it has acquired the Alsip manufacturing facility of the Madison Paper Co. from Myllykoski Group.
Financial details of the transaction were not included in the Watermill Group's press release.
Watermill Group said it has "renamed the newly acquired paper manufacturer FutureMark Paper Co. in alignment with the company’s intent to cater to the fast-growing, underserved North American market for environmentally friendly paper."
Located just outside Chicago, FutureMark Paper Co. has the only manufacturing facility in the United States capable of producing up to 100 percent recycled coated paper for magazines and catalogs, Watermill Group said. The will be led by newly appointed president and chief executive Stephen Silver.
