National Grid, which has a corporate presence in Waltham, said $345,000 of its will go to the Whole School, Whole Child program in Massachusetts.
In a statement, National Grid president Tom King said: "Every year 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the US - thatís 6,000 students a day. These alarming statistics come with a staggering cost to the people and the communities we serve in New England and New York. We live and work in these communities, too, so itís crucial that we help turn this situation around."
