Staples Inc., the Framingham-based retailer of office supplies, is amping up its annual tax day promotions.

spls224.jpgFor the past few years, Staples has provided customers with free copies of tax returns. This year, returns could be a bit more complicated, thanks to the first-time home buyer tax credit and benefits from American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

With that in mind, Staples said it is passing on even more potential savings to its customers by providing 30 pages of free tax return copies (15 double-sided sheets). In addition, Staples Copy & Print Centers will provide these free copies of tax returns one week earlier, starting March 27, and continuing through tax-filing day on April 15.

As the filing date looms, Staples said it will offer deals each week on tax software and services. To read a Staples press release about its tax season promotions, please click here.
