Zipcar Inc., the Cambridge-based car-sharing service, said it will not allow its customers to reserve 2010 Prius vehicles that have been recalled by Toyota.
The policy is in efffect until the car's "brake concerns have been addressed appropriately by Toyota," Zipcar said in a press release. "This recall impacts less than 1 percent of the Zipcar fleet."
Zipcar noted that it had previously announced that 2009 and 2010 Toyota Matrix models could not longer be reserved by Zipcar customers due to a safety recall.
As of last week, the Zipcar fleet numbered about 6,500 vehicles.
