The Boston Celtics said that they are about to pick a winner for a contest featured in their Celtics Banner Moments social media program.

cmoment413.jpgThe contest asks fans to "share and describe their favorite moments in Celtics history, " the team said in a press release, adding: "The Celtics have gathered hundreds of Banner Moments that have been submitted by season ticket holders. The top 10 moments as identified by members of the Celtics organization have been posted on the team’s website, where all fans are encouraged to log on and vote on their favorite Banner Moment. The author of the winning moment will be recognized at Fan Appreciation night on April 14 when the Celtics take on the Milwaukee Bucks, as well as win the opportunity to watch a play-off game in their own private suite."

The Celtics have partnered with ClickSquared, a Waltham-based provider of e-mail and cross-channel marketing solutions, to get Celtics Banner Moments up and running.

In a statement, Celtics president Rich Gotham said that Celtics Banner Moments allows "fans to connect on Facebook, Twitter and Celtics.com to share their most memorable Celtics experiences with each other and the Celtics organization."
