Firm feels your pain on appliance rebate program
The company that provided website support services for the state's appliance rebate program issued a blog mea culpa of sorts this morning.
This morning PixelMEDIA put up a post on a company blog that said in part, "Everyone here at PixelMEDIA understands the frustration felt by people who could not get through to the Great Appliance Exchange website yesterday."
A state official confirmed that PixelMEDIA provides website support services for MassSave.com.
PixelMEDIA's blog post said that the combination of an attractive offer, a limited window of opportunity, and a first-come, first-serve model was too much for the website.

A call to PixelMEDIA was not immediately returned.
MassSave.com is a site operated by the state and utility companies to process rebates being funded by federal stimulus money. The rebates were for energy-efficient appliances.
