Orsillo to plump D'Angelo lobster rolls
Don Orsillo, the Red Sox announcer on NESN, will lend his voice to the Lobster Nation radio campaign for D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, the Dedham-based restaurant chain said.
Radio ads promoting the chain's seasonal lobster sandwich line-up are scheduled to air on Entercom Boston stations, D'Angelo said. Local Entercom stations include WEEI and WRKO.
In the past, D'Angelo put lobster sandwiches on its seasonal menu in mid May until September. This year, the chain decided to roll out its lobster sandwiches a month early, citing customer demand, a spokeswoman for the chain said.
The lobster sandwich line includes a traditional lobster sandwich, a baked stuffed lobster sandwich, a lobster roll, a "surf & turf," a surf & turf being a four-inch lobster roll accessorized with a four-inch steak-and-cheese sandwich, D'Angelo said.
D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches is operated by Papa Gino's Inc., which also operates the Papa Gino's pizza chain.
