Kelly will chair Nixon Peabody litigation dept.

Nixon Peabody LLP, a law firm with offices in Boston, said it has appointed Fred A. Kelly Jr. as the chair of its litigation department.
With more than 25 years at the firm, Kelly (shown at right in a firm photo) has been primarily a trial lawyer, and he has worked extensively with companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology industries, the firm said.
In his new role, Kelly will lead a department with more than 300 attorneys. Nixon Peabody has roughly 800 attorneys and offices in 17 cities.
