Sophos sells majority stake

Sophos PLC, a data security firm with dual headquarters in the UK and Burlington, has agreed to sell a majority stake to Apax Partners, a global private equity group.
Details of the transaction were not disclosed, but a release from the two companies said that the deal values the entire company at $830 million.
Sophos claims to be the world's largest privately-held data security company, with 2010 revenues of $260 million.
