Boston Med is most viewed show in the Hub

"Boston Med," the documentary-styled series about three Boston hospitals, was the most watched program last week in Boston.

The show drew 280,000 total viewers on the night of its premiere June 24, according to The Nielsen Co.

The eight-part series, produced by ABC News division, follows the professional and personal lives of more than a dozen doctors, nurses and patients at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Children's Hospital over a four month period. The show airs 10 p.m. Thursdays on WCVB-TV Channel 5.

The other top five shows in Boston last week: NBC's "America's Got Talent,'' with 274,000 viewers; NESN's broadcast of Major League Baseball with 243,000 and CBS's "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and A Half Men" tied for fourth place with 242,000 and 240,000 viewers.
