Saucony to sponsor Commonwealth Triathlon Series

Saucony, the athletic footwear and apparel brand based in Lexington, said it has signed on as the official footwear and apparel sponsor of the 2010 Commonwealth Triathlon Series.

Produced by Streamline Events LLC, the sprint distance series is made up of the Cohasset Triathlon (June 27), the Nantucket Triathlon (July 10), the Marlborough Triathlon (Aug. 1), and the Scituate Duathlon (Oct. 17h), Saucony said.

The Cohasset Triathlon is partnering for the fourth consecutive year with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Saucony said; over the last three years, race participants’ individual fundraising efforts have raised nearly $500,000 for the foundation.

Saucony is a subsidiary of Collective Brands Inc.
