Dorel ready to give locals a car seat workshop
Many parents don't know the proper techniques for installing and using a child's car seat, according to a recent survey from Dorel Juvenile Group and AAA so Dorel, which has a presence in Foxborough, has scheduled a car-seat workshop for today morning in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
The four-hour event is set to take place at the South Bay Plaza in the shopping mall parking lot near the Target store, Dorel said. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., said Dorel, whose product line includes car seats.
Citing data from to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Dorel noted that 75 percent of car seats on the road today are installed incorrectly.
