MITX appoints five board members

Google Inc.'s top local executive is among five new board members appointed by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, a professional organization for the Internet business and marketing industry.

New board members include Steve Vinter, engineering director at Google's office in Cambridge, and Elizabeth Bentel Carpenter, a senior vice president at Brightcove Inc., the online video platform company.

Scott Ernst, president of the Web analytics company Compete, is also a new board member, as is Troy Kelley, chief digital officer at Boston ad agency Arnold Worldwide, and Adam Medros, a vice president at TripAdvisor.com, a Newton-based travel review website.
