AMSC receives order from Indian company

American Superconductor Corp., or AMSC, a Devens company specializing in power technologies, said it has received an initial order from Inox Wind Limited, part of India’s Inox Group of Cos.
In a press release, AMSC said that the order is for 17 of its wind turbine electrical control systems.
No financial details were included in the release. The release cited industry data saying that by one measure, India is the world's fifth largest wind power market.
