Amtrak service suspended in part of busy Northeast
Amtrak service is suspended in part of the busy Northeast after a train became entangled in overhead wires in Connecticut.
Amtrak said Thursday afternoon there is no service between New Haven and New York. It isn't clear when it will be restored or how widespread delays are.
One crippled train can sometimes back up travel all along the busy corridor between Boston and Washington.
A spokesman for the Metro-North railroad serving northern suburban New York says some of its service is also suspended.
