NaviSite Inc., an Andover-based provider of complex hosting, application management and managed cloud services for enterprises, said today that Arthur P. Becker has stepped down as company chief executive, effective immediately.

He is succeeded by the company president, R. Brooks Borcherding, who will now serve as chief executive and president, the company said in a press release. Becker will remain a member of the company's board of directors, NaviSite added.

Borcherding joined NaviSite as senior vice president of sales and chief revenue officer in April 2009 and has served as NaviSite's president since March, the company said.
